Viztek 2012 – Exceeding Expectations – A letter from VP of Sales Steve Deaton

Viztek Partners,

I am excited to have the opportunity to write to you today.  The past year has been surprising to say the least.  As most of you are aware, we launched several new products in 2011 ranging from the Vizion DR line to new PACS and mammography software solutions.  The support that you provided Viztek allowed us to exceed our growth goals substantially.  I will reference one statistic that was awe inspiring to say the least.  In 2011 we had a budget to sell approximately 150 DR Panels.  Through your efforts, we were able to sell over 380 panels, mostly into what we would have previously considered “CR accounts.”  The growth at Viztek can only be defined as explosive, and I would like to personally thank each of you.  Everyone at Viztek is looking forward to continued growth with you in 2012.

Another success from 2011 was with our “Disaster Recovery for life!” program.  This program works for customers with active service agreements to backup their imaging data at our location in North Carolina.

2011 was first year we offered this and I am please to share that over 100 customers took advantage of this program.

The latest version of Opal was released and, in addition to a new skin, it boasts several new features including new mammography tools.  The new look and feel of the PACS is not simply aesthetic, but was designed with efficiency consultants to create a product that speaks volumes to Radiologists who see it.  If you have a Radiologist interested in PACS, or one who is frustrated with their existing PACS, a quick demo of this product will generate interest.  I will be arranging monthly demos of the product, but please let me know if you would like a strategy session with your staff.  We can host a webex to demonstrate a few key developments that will assist in closing PACS opportunities.  I cannot mention PACS without discussing the software market briefly.  Over the past three years we saw a steady decline in PACS sale prices.  However, in 2011 things have changed dramatically.  With your support, we have seen the Viztek brand graduate into larger institutions where we win business against competitors such as GE, McKesson, DR Systems, etc…  I can assure you that we will stay true to our roots in the private practice market, but I would like to ask you for the chance to sell a PACS into a 100+ bed hospital or multi-site Imaging Center.  Our sales support personnel has grown and we have seen tremendous profit margins for dealers in this market space.   Facilities that paid nearly $1-million for their PACS and carry six-figure service agreements on it will jump at the pricing you and I can offer in a replacement situation.

I hope you all have also seen the latest promotion we are running for our ViZion Straight-Arm DR.  Everyone at Viztek is excited about this product’s potential throughout several different markets. If you have not seen the dealer pricing promotion, please contact your Viztek sales representative ASAP.  This product is a true game-changer in the rad-room/CR buyer’s market, because you can purchase a complete DR room for under $75,000.  Rather than simply offering “me too” products, our team is focussed on assembling bundles and solutions that stand out in a sales process.

This market has become stale over the past few years and it is time for us to change our mindset in order to grow.  Hopefully you see that we are changing things for the positive, and know that we want your feedback.  I appreciate your successes in 2011, and look forward to many more in 2012.  I speak for our entire organization when I say that we are behind you.  Please expect us to be more prepared for your business in 2012, both in a sales-support and technical role.  We have added several new members to our staff in response to your feedback about our shortcomings and pinch-points.  I hope you will see a difference rapidly.  Again, thank you for your continued support. I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Steve Deaton
Vice President of Sales
