The FIT-DR, a high-performance dual-detector Digital X-ray system delivers fast throughput and superior image quality — all at an affordable price. The solution now incorporates Viztek’s Leggera Wireless DR panel with a fixed panel to offer hospitals and clinics improved productivity and enable an easier conversion for remaining analog imaging suites to digital.
With two high-quality cesium detectors, the FIT-DR is able to accommodate a full repertoire of x-ray exams without re
positioning the patient, which places less stress on the patient, as well as the technologists. It also minimizes the risk of detector damage due to less frequent handling of DR panels. The solution, suitable for both new and retrofit installations, provides facilities the option to convert to DR in an easy and cost-effective manner, with a fixed panel for the upright unit and wireless DR panel for the table system.
“The evolving needs of Radiology departments and hospital IT are always at the heart of Viztek innovation as we build upon existing technologies to further innovate and develop the industry’s next best imaging solutions,” said Bruce Ashby, vice president of DR, Viztek. “By bundling the Leggera DR wireless panel as part of the FIT-DR system, we are helping healthcare facilities to maximize efficiency, and are pioneering new standards of quality in DR hardware and software technology.”
The new FIT-DR solution is the next evolution from its previous configuration known as the FIT-KIT; the Viztek Leggera DR wireless panel replaces the tethered panel previously available, allowing the transition to digital to be even easier for facilities. The Leggera Wireless Panel is the lightest — 6.1 lb, ISO 4090 cassette size — wireless panel available to the market, enabling hospitals and imaging centers access to the compact panel as well as radical features that include storage capacity of up to 50 images, two removable batteries to maximize productivity and up time while providing breakthrough reliability in image storage and back-up. The panel comes equipped with gyro capabilities that minimize error and retakes while saving time by eliminating the need to configure orientation. The wireless panel also delivers productivity benefits through passive-trigger technology that allows it to detect an x-ray source, and turn on automatically without any need to interface between generator and panel.
With the added efficiency offered via the Leggera Wireless Panel, Viztek FIT-DR enables high quality images while requiring minimal intervention from technologists and decreasing time-delay during imaging process. The solution is available with a range of options for new room installation as well as for retrofitting into existing equipment.
