Enthusiastic Market Reception Makes for Highly Successful Launch

Viztek, the leading digital imaging solution provider, recently experienced a highly successful launch of its Opal-CR II, a breakthrough CR product designed specifically for the confined spaces of the private practice. The small, lightweight unit can produce 60 plates per hour and requires no construction to install in physician offices or clinics. Due to rapid market acceptance, Viztek placed 75 units in 60 days, making it one of the most successful products introduced to the market.

The wall-mountable Opal-CR II weighs in at just 65 pounds with an extremely small footprint. It is an ideal solution for private practices and clinics that perform x-rays for up to 30 patients per day to transition x-ray operations to a speedy, modern platform.

“We’re excited to offer a product that is incredibly affordable and small without sacrificing speed,” said Steve Deaton, Vice President of Sales for Viztek. “Because of its small dimensions and manageable weight, the Opal-CR II doesn’t require expensive construction to install – it can be bolted to the wall next to the x-ray control panel – and yet its capabilities and speed surpass those of much larger, more expensive units.”

The Opal-CR II can be sold complete with Viztek’s enterprise-level PACS. The PACS software enables image viewing on iPad and iPhone devices as well as image archiving. It ships in a small metal case with dimensions similar to those of a briefcase for fast, easy deployment – even in facilities where space is limited.

The Opal-CR II is affordable for private practices and clinics that want to modernize their x-ray capabilities. The fact that Viztek sold approximately 75 Opal-CR II units within 60 days of launching the new product indicates enthusiasm in the medical community for an affordable product that doesn’t sacrifice speed or require a large footprint.
