Viztek, the advanced digital imaging solutions provider, announces the 100th installation of its state-of-the-art Opal-RIS solution at Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield, MO. The 40-bed critical access hospital installed the RIS, along with Viztek Opal-RAD PACS, to enable a complete transition to a digital radiology environment for modalities that include X-ray, CT, Ultrasound and MRI.
According to Debbie Hoyt, Radiology Director for the hospital, “Pershing needed a comprehensive, user friendly system at an affordable price. Viztek fit the bill. Hoyt notes that the RIS performed similarly to more costly applications and that Viztek was willing to implement a range of customizations for the site. “Our staff radiologist with years of experience in the field had no problem switching almost immediately to digital workflow. The system was that intuitive and easy to learn,” she said. “All the radiologists love it.”
