Helps Extend Quality Healthcare in Remote, Underserved Areas

Jacksonville, Fl – Viztek announces two installations of its Web-based Opal-RAD PACS in major internationally recognized corporate health clinics in Southern Nigeria. Sold and installed in cooperation with Texas-based medical equipment dealer CIMS, the new fully digital installations also include Kodak’s Point of Care (POC) 140 CRs, film digitizers and Quantum X-rays. Together, this advanced equipment will significantly improve the detection of tuberculousis and the delivery of quality medical care in extremely remote geographic areas.

The combined Viztek-CIMS technologies represent an important step up in quality-of-care in this traditionally underserved region. Viztek solutions, which are quickly deployed, provide remote consulting physicians with access to images from better equipped corporate facillities, and as a result, quality patient care now extends into rural areas historically hampered by slower diagnoses.
